Myriam Holme

Myriam Holme vor einer ihrer Arbeiten im Port 25 in Mannheim

From 1996 to 2002, Myriam Holme pursued her studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe under the guidance of Nikolaus Meuser and Andreas Slominski, where she became a master student of the latter. Even during her academic years, her fascination extended to both sculpture and painting.

In addition to her focus on painting, the single-room house, co-developed and constructed in 2002 alongside artist Philipp Morlock, remains an integral aspect of her artistic exploration. Holme continues to oversee this project, as well as the subsequent venture, House barac-Art/Labor/Social, situated on a former conversion area in Mannheim.

Myriam Holme has held guest professorships and teaching assignments at various art academies, including the Art Academy Munich, Art Academy Düsseldorf, Art Academy Karlsruhe, and the University of Mainz.

In addition to receiving grants such as the Art Fund Bonn Work Grant, the Travel Grant from the State of Baden-Württemberg, and the German Academy in Rome, she has garnered several awards. Notably, in 2017, she was honoured with the Kubus Art Prize for Expanded Painting at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

Myriam Holme is an active member of the German Artist's Association.
