Über die Veranstaltung
The exhibition unfolds as an immersive space accompanied by an ambient music lineup curated by Emotion Powerhouse. The work — created on analog film between 2023 and 2026 — moves between intimacy and distance, memory and longing.
Shot entirely on analog film, the images exist in an in-between state — between exposure and revelation. The slow process leaves space for uncertainty, where blur and imperfection become part of the memory.
The project is partly inspired by Laura’s father’s story of leaving Baghdad and returning decades later — a narrative that shaped her understanding of distance, memory, and belonging. From this starting point, the work turns inward, reflecting on how we live with love, loss, and the quiet persistence of memories.
