Kata Unger

Kata Unger blends traditional weaving with digital aesthetics, creating intricate, color-intensive tapestries that mirror the logic of binary code. Though working on a loom, her approach aligns more closely with painting, translating abstract concepts into tactile, woven form. In CrackMe oder mein Hirn in der Cloud, she explores digitalization, depicting a pixelated cyber-landscape where information hovers on the edge of legibility. Plasmawave captures a psychedelic state through swirling colors and fragmented figures, visualizing emotions beyond words. Bridging technology and craftsmanship, Unger’s works make intangible, digital experiences physically present.
