Andres Ciccone

Andres Ciccone (b. 1991, Caracas) is an Italo-Venezuelan artist living between New York and Berlin. His work explores displacement, identity, and belonging, often reflecting his migratory background. In Chaos and Memory, Ciccone merges mathematical precision with expressive disruption, using geometric abstraction to convey both order and turbulence. Influenced by Op Art, Kinetic Art, and artists like Agnes Martin and Alice Aycock, he plays with depth, light, and texture, incorporating gestural brushstrokes, sand, and crackled paint. His recurring house motif symbolizes home and exile, while his layered compositions evoke the emotional weight of migration.
